About

Hi! I’m Katherine! Nice to meet you!

I first got started writing code with Apple Basic back on a IIgs at school when I was ten years old, and I haven’t looked back since. I got my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and have been working full-time as a developer ever since.

These days, I’m primarily an iOS developer, and have been since 2014—meaning I’ve worked with both Swift and Objective-C. But in my career (and as a hobby) I’ve worked with or dabbled in Pro*C, Python, Ruby, Perl, C++, Java, bash/zsh, Javascript (and by extension HTML and CSS), PHP, and probably some others I haven’t thought of for a while. I’m in general a big fan of finding the right tool for the job, rather than having one hammer and treating everything like a nail.

I occasionally do some beading projects, am slowly learning how to embroider, and I’m also an aspiring fiction author on the side.

When it comes to books/movies/TV, I tend very much towards science fiction, fantasy, or romance. I also play video games now and again, but pretty much only Nintendo.

I don’t in general intend on talking about my personal life on this blog.

It’s nice to meet you!
